I work with nonfiction writers at all career stages.

Creative coaching is equal parts writing therapy and performance coaching for creatives.

My pedagogy is integrative, and my role is to help you, the writer, find your own voice and the resources to inform it. You provide me with your goals and a sample of your work, and I provide you with resources, exercises, prompts, workflow, and accountability structures to help you get where you want to go.

Coaching takes place on Zoom. I charge $195 for an initial 60 minute session and $175 for followup sessions, which are 45 minutes.

I work on all kinds of nonfiction projects, from academic theses and reported work to personal essays.

My role is to work with you, the writer, to shape, structure, and polish your words and thoughts. You provide me with a manuscript, and I provide you with line edits and a comprehensive edit letter.

Developmental editing is billed by the page at $25 per manuscript page (i.e. 250 words) with a $100 minimum, or by the project at an agreed upon flat rate.

I’ll need to see a sample of your project before agreeing to take it on. Please email me with any questions or to propose a project. If you desire a more collaborative process, I can bundle coaching and editing services for you—just ask.

I work with experienced and debut writers on book length works of nonfiction.

My role is to co-create a container that will support you in writing your book manuscript from start to finish. You arrive with an idea or a plan, and together we set up a timeline and goals. We work 1:1 on craft, ideation, accountability, research, and any other resources you need to complete your book. At articulated points in the timeline, I provide you with section by section line edits, a full developmental edit, a comprehensive copy edit, and guidance in composing your query letter.

The Book Incubator is a year long co-created service that can be higher or lower touch, depending on your wants and my assessment of your needs. A typical paradigm might include one coaching session every other week, with corresponding staggered page deadlines.

The Book Incubator is bilied monthly, at the pro-rated installment of your total. Monthly installments range from $900-2000, depending on the specifics of the container we co-create.

I only take on two Book Incubator projects at any given time, and as such I often maintain a waiting list. If you’re interested in working together in this capacity, please reach out to propose your project and timeline.

I work with you to prepare your materials for MFA applications.

This service is highly collaborative and includes:

• two 30-minute Zoom coaching sessions 

• two rounds of edits on your Statement of Purpose draft

• one round of developmental edits on your writing sample (up to 30 pages)

• one round of copy edits on your entire application package (Statement of Purpose, biographical or diversity statement, CV, and writing sample up to 30 pages)

The MFA Package is billed at the flat rate of $1200. I offer a $200 discount to first-generation and BIPOC applicants, and to current or former SWers.

My clients have received funded offers from The New School, Columbia, NYU, Iowa, and other top nonfiction MFA programs.

I work with you to prepare your personal essay for undergraduate admission applications. I work with applicants of any age—nontraditional students are warmly welcomed into my coaching practice.

This service is collaborative and includes:

• two 30-minute generative Zoom coaching sessions

• three rounds of edits on any single essay draft (Common App essay, supplemental essay, or other)

• one round of copy edits on your essay

The College Essay Package is billed at the flat rate of $1200. I offer a $200 discount to first-generation and BIPOC applicants, and to current and former SWers.

Additional college essay coaching hours are available only to current College Essay Package clients and are billed hourly at $250 per hour.
