WRITE YOUR STORY
Hi, you— yes, you, the one asking yourself if you’re really a writer.
Sharing experience through story is a fundamental human desire, and having a story stuck inside you can be incredibly frustrating. Many writers struggle with fear, insecurity, and feeling “blocked.” Not knowing how to get started can leave you feeling defeated. When you’re in that space, it is difficult to know exactly what to do with the creative urge to write about your experiences.
You have a story in you, and you want to tell it. You’ve lived the experiences, and I’m here to show you how to turn them into personal narrative.
Writing is for anyone who wants it. Finding agency and ownership over your story and your creative expression is deeply satisfying.
You’ve carried this story around long enough. It’s time to write it in a way that satisfies you.
This four phase course is a self paced guide through the creation of a work of memoir or personal narrative. Your project might be as short as a personal essay or as long as a book. Through resources including prompts, worksheets, questionnaires, and videos, you’ll work your way through four phases that will guide you from idea to working draft.
You deserve the deep satisfaction of having told your story.
Writing can be hard, lonely work, and telling your story can be scary. This course is designed to hold your hand. Only you can do the work, but the course will support you with the resources you need to get ready, take the plunge, and finally shift from saying Someday I should write a memoir... to Look at this memoir I wrote!

Working in four phases, we’ll take you from Hmmm I’d love to write about the time I hiked the Appalachian Trail/started my own company/had triplets/renovated a farmhouse, but I’m not really a writer... to a clear sense of exactly how to write your story.

Phase 4: Draft
Now, you do the work. I’ll pair each stage of completion with resources to help keep you inspired, committed, and organized, and you’ll show up and put pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard). Before you know it, you’ll have a working draft of your memoir.
